Funeral service for Ted Wright Etheredge, age 84, of Decatur will be Monday, October 20, 2014, at noon at Parkview Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Todd Evans officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Etheredge, who died Friday, October 17, 2014, at NHC Health Care of Moulton, was born August 28, 1930, in Town Creek to William McKinley Etheredge and Annie Lo Jeffreys Etheredge. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ned Etheredge; and one sister, Helen Johnson.

Survivors include his wife, Larene Rutherford Etheredge; one son, Steve Etheredge (Donna) of Prattville; three daughtes, Jennifer Jones (Tom) of Decatur, Terri Brindley of Somerville and Robin Moore (Chuck) of Decatur; one sister, Mary Glenn (Charlie) of Moulton; one sister-in-law, Sarah Etheredge; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Adam Jones, Jake Moore, Luke Etheredge, Brad White, Rob Dishman, Jeff Etheredge, Mike Etheredge and Todd Etheredge.

Honorary pallbearer will be Wyatt Dishman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley or Parkview Baptist Church Building Fund, 305 Beltline Place, Decatur, Al 35601.
