Not sure what to say?

On behalf of my mother, Joyce, and my entire family, I would like to thank all who have spoken such kind words about my dad, Ted Galloway. He was a kind man and a happy man, a true gentleman. A huge hole has been left in our hearts by his passing, but we are comforted that he is no longer suffering from the cancer that took his life. We appreciate you and thank you.

I am saddened by the death of Dr. Galloway. I was part of his band at Vestavia Hills High School, 1986-1990 and enjoyed every minute of my time in the band. I wouldn't have gone on to receive my degree in music if it weren't for Dr. Galloway. The music world has lost a great influence to music. May you rest in peace, Dr. Galloway. My thoughts are with his family.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of Ted's family. He was such a good man.

Berry, Class of 65

I was a member of the Chorus and Ensemble at Berry High School and in the first graduating class of 1965. I remember Dr. Gallaway with great fondness. THANK YOU for the music!!! What would our football games or pep rallies be without it! My sincere sympathy to the family.

Dear Joyce and family,
Tom and I enjoyed getting to know you and Ted while we lived in Birmingham. We are sad to hear of his passing. You know that our thoughts and prayers are with you here in AZ. Love, Libbie

I am saddened to hear of the death of my friend, Ted Galloway. I pray that Joyce and family will feel God's presence with a peace that passes all understanding.

Ted was an outstanding music educator and left his mark on the profession as he touched many lives and "made a huge difference" with his commitment and dedication. He will be missed!

My condolences to Joyce and family on the loss of your loved one.
We knew Ted briefly when we lived in Tuscaloosa, Al He was indeed a wonderful person.
God Bless you Joyce, and Family.

My son Nick was Ted's drum major at Vestavia High School for three years, and what a great band boosters club we enjoyed. I will always cherish those memories. Joyce, Denise and family you are in my prayers.

December 21, 2009

I was saddened today to hear of the death of my longtime, good friend, Ted Galloway, but I cannot help but believe that he is in a far better place today.

I first met Ted when he enrolled at the University and became a VALUABLE member of the Million Dollar Band. I was happy to follow his career as one of Alabama's finest music teachers and Band Directors over the years. He was an inspiration to us all and we will sorely miss him.
