Ted L. Goerschner

To be honest, I just learned of Ted today. I received an award, the Ted Goerschner Memorial Impressionistic Award of Excellence at the 32nd Oil Painters of American National Exhibition. I've searched the internet to learn something more about him. I'm very honored to have received this award but more importantly it lead me to learned about Ted. What a wonderful artist he was.

I had the privilege and honor to publish many of Ted's paintings through the years. Published work can fall victim to market trends, but Ted's work continues to remain relevant. He downplayed his amazing artistic talents choosing to take the stance of a normal guy. He was far from normal, but definitely one of the good guys. My sincere best wishes to Marilyn and the family. Marilyn, Ted had a major impact on my life. His paintings still hang in my studio. I feel very fortunate that I knew him. In addition to being one of the best painters this country has ever produced, he was witty, loving, kind, giving. Because of his faith in Christ, we will see him again. I will keep you in my prayers. It was such a privilege to have known Ted. We enjoyed our conversations with Ted and visiting his studio where he was always so enthusiastic about the painting in progress.
He will be missed by so many.
