Ted Steven Helberg

I thought of Ted tonite. We were in IA together---my Dad Phillip Schwartz operated Siegle's and House of Kosher Foods.. I googled him and saw the sad news. He will always be remembered by many--and wow what a life he created after high school. I went to DeVilbiss High.

I heard the news of Teddy's passing when I saw his name in the Book of Remembrance yesterday on Yom Kippur when I was in Toledo to attend services at Congregation B'Nai Israel with my dad, Philip Markowicz. A childhood family friend and fellow Sylvania High School colleague, I remember Teddy with much fondness. To all The Helberg family: I am deeply saddened to hear ofTed's passing! I was his neighbor at the Le Parisien for about 6 years and we always shared great conversation and laughs! He always spoke of his children with GREAT pride also.

I am Ted's older brother. He was one of a kind. His presence will be missed. Ted lived a unique life.

Grateful to have known him, albeit for a short time. His sense of humor, wit and intelligence was a mix I've witnessed very few times. God bless Ted and the family.
