Just realized that Ted passed 2019, worked with him in the water dept. from the 50’s on, great memories. Loved pool. Lost touch with him when I moved to Vt. He is missed

HODGE, Ted J. - Of Flint, age 85, died Monday, September 16, 2019 at The Landings of Genesee Valley.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday, September 20, 2019 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Steve Anderson officiating.
Entombment at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
Visitation 2-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. A Rosary will be prayed 7pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Visitation 10am Friday at church until the time of the Mass.
Ted was born in Truman, Arkansas on October 12, 1933, the son of the late Ted and Dorothy (Long) Hodge. On September 18, 1954, he married Constance Bonanni at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Ted worked for the City of Flint in the Water Department for 27 years as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed playing pool, loved animals, enjoyed traveling, the ocean and visiting Florida and Hawaii regularly. Ted was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, the Eagles Club #629 and FOP.
Surviving are wife, Constance;
Children, Bryan (Jerrie) Hodge and Kim (Dan) Boman;
Grandchildren, Bryan II and Gregory;
Great-grandson on the way, Connor;
And many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his siblings.

Connie: very sorry to hear about teds passing. I only found out today (saturday) or I would have been to the service. I remember ted as a young man when he stayed with us for a while when he first came to flint. I think my father got him involved with the eagles org. Great picture of ted,evelyn,bennie and aunt dot in the guest book. brings back a lot of memories. Don
