Elouise,Teddy,and the Jones Family,

Where do I start?! I've had the pleasure of calling Ted my friend for around twenty years or so now.I've enjoyed watching Teddy grow from a husky young teenage athlete who,by the way, was easily one of the best athletes his age in this area,to the man he is now(although I haven't seen him in a few years).I've witnessed the grace and dignity with which Elouise nourished her family. Please know this: I'm a better man for having such a friend and coaching "buddy" as Ted Jones. We shared enough laughs and coaching moments to last a lifetime! In all the years Ted was a member of our coaching staff at McLean Middle School we never had "One " argument!! He was a special friend who always "had my back" as I also had his!!So,"I won't say goodbye, my good friend" only Gods Speed and RIP...
To Elouise,Teddy and Family..keep your faith, remember Ted's legacy of love, and be good to each other, ever remembering.."Time is the great healer".
May God bless you and keep you..
Yours in Friendship,
Coach Sparks
P.S. I'm still at McLean Middle School if you ever need to connect ,it would be my pleasure.

Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”-- John 14:1-4

Out of a graduating class of over 300 students at the famous Booker T. Washington high school here, most if not all of us knew the name, "Ted Jones". Tall and athletic, he was truly a big man on campus. It's great to hear of the positive impact he had on the Ft Worth community. Peace and strength to his personal family and friends and to his Ft Worth community family.

To the family of Ted Jones,
I am Carolyn Black Carbage, one of Ted's high school classmates, writing to express my sincerest sympathy. I knew Ted and "Sara Jane" from early childhood. As I have read many of the expressions here on line, I am certain that Ted is resting in the arms of our Savior. I encourage you to hold on to the memories and live the life that will allow you to see Ted again. My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies are with you.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Black Carbage,

Just heard the news, couldn't believe it. By far one of the greatest men to grace god's earth, is gone. You've seen many generations of my family, come through those school doors you worked at, from McLean Middle School, to South West High School. And oh what a blessing it was to have gotten the opportunity to know you. Weather it had been football, free doughnuts or Jolly Ranchers you always had something to give. I enjoyed our many conversations everyday, sometimes even if I didn't want to hear it but needed to. "Coach Jones." you'll definitely be missed, my only hope is that we get to reunite again someday, save a seat for me please.

Ted was the true definition of a friend. I will always cherish the time we spent playing basketball and fellowshipping.
