Dear Karen & Family,
My deepest sympathies for your terrible loss. I left Wichita over 28 years ago but you, Ted and The Crown Players will always be some of my clearest and fondest memories. I adored every minute of the summer Melodramas in the late '60's/early 70's, playing a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz, and the joy you brought my Mom, Beverly, in her roll as ticket sales and teaching friend. I count as one of my greatest treasures these memories. Thank you for all that you...

I was just noodling around at work this evening when I came across the news of Ted's passing. This is so sad, and brings back a boatload of memories. I was first 'exposed' to Ted Morris way back in the late '60s, when as a 9th grader, I played oboe in the pit orchestra for the Crown Players production of 'How to Succeed' at Century II. Many years later, he gave me my first paid acting job at Cowtown in the summer melodramas. I played the villian in one show and the hero in the other. I...

AS we live in Oklahoma, and make the trip to wichita every six weeks or so,we recieved notice of ted's passing by the letter sent out by his wife. We started attending the CROWN several years ago and looked foreward to our CROWN experience and the enjoyment. The man we got to know through this experience brought a certain joy in his love for his creation. Thanks for all the good times, and we look foreward to many more. Loren & Sharon Koehn

Karen and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Ted's passing. So fondly was he remembered, looking at the many comments left. Ted also gave me an opportunity to perform in shows as well as play the official "Briar Fox" role that Ted loved so much! His positive encouragement of character exploration always left an impression. Theatre ran through his veins. My thoughts are with you...

I had the pleasure of traveling with Ted and Karen to a few states to promote Wichita and I had such a good time with them. I am so sad that he is gone physically, but I know he is here in spirit. My prayers go to the family members. God Bless.

I was very saddened to hear of Ted's passing. I left Wichita 30 years ago, but his passing kind of reopened a relatively small window in my past that I always recall with great fondness. Summer melodramas at that terrific space on West Douglas and at Cowtown, plays and musicals at the Little Theatre in Century II, rehearsals in Towanda. I remember once riding with Ted to or from Towanda when suddenly he pulled his car to the side of the road, got out and did a little dance all the way around...
