Ted K. Weir

WEIR, Ted K. - of Clio, age 80, died Sunday, October 17, 2004 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Rev. Jim Horn officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park with graveside military honors under the direction of the Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post 1452. Friends may all at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6-9pm and Wednesday from 12-4 & 6-9pm with a VFW Memorial Service being held at 7pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Genesys Hospice or the Gordon R. Bennett VFW Post 1452 in Clio. Ted was born August 2, 1924 in Royal Oak, Michigan, the son of the late Lloyd and Grace (Kempt) Weir. He had resided in the Clio area since 1948 coming from Flint. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during WWII. Ted married Janice Hill on September 7, 1946 in Flint. He was employed with FJ Boutell for 26 1/2 years and Continental Baking for 10 years. Ted was a member of Local 332 Teamsters and the Clio VFW Post 1452. Surviving are: Wife, Janice; sons, Bruce Weir of Clio and Robert (Susan) Weir of Clio; daughters, Connie (Robert) Scofield of Birch Run, Kathleen (Mel) Patrick of Grand Blanc, Nancy (Mike) Ondocsin of Clio; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; brother, Andrew (Mary Kay) Weir of Flushing; sister, Mary (Chester) Peck of Flint; several nieces and nephews.
