Teofilo Cordova, Papa Pepe, was called home the morning of March 3, 2024. He was born in Mccallen, Texas to Cruz Cordova and Theresa Juarez on September 3, 1946. He made a life for himself working in various states and although he often reminisced of his time in New Mexico, he married the love of his life and moved to Midland, Texas in 1988. He married Isidra Cordova in 1963 and had 6 children. He is survived by his wife, Isidra Cordova and children, Maria Theresa Garcia and husband Daniel Garcia, Jesus Cordova and wife Maria Cordova, Sandra Cordova, Monica Gonzales and husband Jesus Gonzales, Lourdes Cordova, Teofilo Cordova Jr., 27 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. He would often speak about his grandkids and could be heard laughing and singing every chance he could. His family was his life and legacy. There was no greater joy than having his family visit. He devoted his life to his family and worked and retired from Alldredge gardens in 2023 where he worked many years alongside his son. Papa Pepe was a man of many talents and befriended every one he spoke to. He always spoke the truth and although he is no longer with us, his leadership and lessons will continue to guide his family long after. Gone but never forgotten, he will be greatly missed. Never has there been and never will there be another soul as cheerful, strong, and loving as him.
Viewing will be Wednesday March 6, 2024 from 10:00am to 9:00pm with a rosary to begin at 6:00pm at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Chapel.
