Rest in peace, Terry .. special in every way ..

I always felt like I was in the best of hands with Dr. Hammer. I never told him this, but he felt like a relative, an uncle. I was actually just about to try to schedule an appointment with him this morning. He will be in my prayers.

Dr Terry Hammer was the beloved friend and physician of my grandparents, my uncle and my father. He went above and beyond to help my father (a former Hermosa Beach police officer) on several occasions when going through some complex medical issues. Turns out he was also the friend and physician of my husband before we met. He always provided loving care and kindness to all that came into his awareness. I know that even now he is still doing that generous work, with gratitudeLisa Davis Lehman

We are truly saddened by the passing of Dr. Hammer. He treated our entire family for 40+ years. Even when we moved from Torrance to retire in San Luis Obispo County, we returned for appointments with him. He was an exceptional physician, very knowledgeable and caring. May he rest in the arms of the angels and may his family be comforted by the many kinds words of the people who knew him.

Dr. Hammer often joked with me about how we spelled our names "correctly". He was a wonderful doctor, but even more so, a wonderful person, who truly cared about his patients. My wife and I were truly blessed to have Dr. Hammer as our primary physician for many years. He helped me more than he could ever know. He took care of me through some very serious health issues over a period of 10+ years. Because of Dr. Hammer, I am alive today and alcohol free. We were so sorry to hear of his...

My heart is broken to have just received word of Terry's passing. He was a TREASURED friend in addition to being a brilliant doctor who had a heart of love for every single person he treated. I would LOVE to share a personal story about him if someone in his family can reach out to me: 424-376-7571 All God's blessings on his family who he loved beyond words
