Terence P. "Terry" Hayes

It has been over thirty years but you were one of my favorite teachers. I was Aviation High Class of '85. Heaven definitely got an angel.

I had the immense pleasure of meeting Mr. Hayes in 2017 when he visited Matt in New York, who is a good friend of mine. As the father of a high school friend, I didn't try to call him Terry and I think he appreciated that. :) We went to the Veterans Day parade in Manhattan and toured St. Patrick's Cathedral afterward. I could immediately see that he loved having someone new to listen to his stories. A fresh audience, perhaps. And I enjoyed giving him that and taking in all that he had to...

It was a pleasure working with him at Aviation High. He was an excellent teacher and helpful fellow teacher. His legacy will live on through all he inspired!

This picture is exactly the way I remember Terry/ In fact, I am sure this is what he was wearing when I first met him on the campus at Saint Ignatius High School. He was genuine and easy to talk to; I will miss seeing him at events!

So sorry Aunt Sally . Terry was a really nice man and I have fond memories of him. So sorry I can not be there for the funeral but am thinking about you all and loving you all
