Not sure what to say?

This GREAT DOCTOR TERRY MATTHEWS as well as DR DANNY KANNEL saved MY LEGS in 1986 at "HOLYCROSS HOSPITAL" in FT LAUDERDALE after I walked into a 1969 VW-BUG going 50-MPH.....TOTALED THE CAR....BUT DR MATTHEWS & DR KANNEL SAVED MY LEGS....TODAY I WALK....."GOD BLESS TERRANCE MATTHEWS & DR DAN KANNEL"......

I worked for Dr. Mathews doing transcription when I was 21 in 1976. Sara was his girl friend back then. She was so beautiful! He took me for a ride in his new brown Porsche one time, the only time I ever rode in one. I loved that job and it led to a lifelong career of acute care and orthopedic medical transcription, from which I am now retired. Thank you Dr. Mathews and Sara! My sincere condolences.

Dr MATTHEWS Nurse took me in a WHEEL CHAIR to MEET the GREAT JACKIE GLEASON who was also in the HOSPITAL......A MEMORY I'll NEVER FORGET....I LOVED DR MATTHEWS.....

DR MATTHEWS saved BOTH my LEGS....I didn't Know he PASSED.....Both my LEGS were SHATTERED both TIBIA & FIBILAS and my JAW after walking in front of a VW BUG going 50 MPH....RIP DR MATTHEWS.....HE WAS AWESOME....

What a surprise to learn today that my favorite doctor is no longer here. I am now 41 years old and at the age of 37 I had a tkr by a another doctor. Many complications preceded and I met Dr Matthews in Dec 2001. January 2002 Dr Terry went in and fixed my right knee. With the assistance of Deanna and his office staff I too was able to walk without a limp. He was nothing short of a walking miracle. Two years later I was injured on the job and Dr Terry operated on both knees and again I was...

I first met Dr. Matthews in October 1998, when I consulted him for osteoarthritis of the right hip. Although I had been actively involved in sports for my entire life, I was barely able to walk around the block without pain. Dr. Matthews told me that I needed a total hip replacement and stayed late that evening to make sure that my wife and I understood the entire procedure. He told me that I would be able to play tennis again and told my wife that I would be "like a new man". He was right!...

I am Terry's sister in law. I remember many wonderful memories with him, Bill and I have had wonderful times with him. We went to visit him in Dallas for his knee surgery at St Paul hospital a few years ago, and then again in April 2004, then again 23Dec04, we went to St Paul hospital, to see Terry and Christine. He seemed to be in such good spirits. He was FINE! Just one week later, he had this infection problem, and Bill and I were so distraught by this. He went into intensive care and he...

Dr Matthews was a wonderful man, colleague and physician. He will be greatly missed in our community. Condolences for the family.
