CHIN, Teresa A bright light went out on Sunday (March 25, 2007). Teresa Chin was the beloved daughter of Nancy Chin and the late John Chin. Teresa, affectionately known as "Pie" or "T," grew up in West Hartford. She was a 1980 graduate of Conard High School and earned a Bachelor of Art in Graphic Design from Central Connecticut State University. From her many years with the Marriott Corporation she met many of her dear friends. She was especially compassionate towards the less fortunate and all animals. Her smile, generosity and sense of humor will never be forgotten. She leaves behind her brother, Steven; grandmother, Jane Mark Wai; several cousins and her posse friends, Natalie, Steven, Mike, Gwen, Diane, Lisa, Sue and Debbie. Visiting hours will be Friday, March 30, at the Dillon- Baxter Funeral Home, 1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Father John Rogers officiating. Today is Monday 5/22/07 and I could just bring myself to write to anyone who will read this. I knew "Pie Pie" as my Dad Harold Gagnier called her since we were children in West Hartford, CT. I loved her and miss her until the day we are together in heaven. Our Deepest Sympathy from the Gagnier's, Harold, Simone and me Carol. Pictures to come Nancy & "Jay Jay"...She was always Pie and now she is always HAPPY ;) AND AT PEACE.
Thoughtfully,
Carol M. Sauer (soon to be Gagnier...

I met Terea 10 years ago, when we both were hired to work at the Four Season's
in Santa Barbara. We became friend's imediately
and continued to stay in touch
through out the years. Our last visit
together was in New York, we had a good
time, my sister Brenda,Teresa and myself enjoyed a couple of meals
together and went to the musical
The Color Purple.
She will be greatly missed.
Love, Karen

Dear Nancy, J, and Po Po;
For 20 years Teresa and I managed to stay in touch. Sometimes often, sometimes not so often, but we were friends no matter how often.
If I can steal from the late John Denver, "death is not an ending, but a symbol of movement along the path upon which we are all traveling. As it may be painful to lose contact with the physical aspect of one we love, the spirit can never be lost. We have been and always will be a part of each other."

Dear Nancy,
Many years have passed since I last saw you, but I remember vividly your funny stories about your beautiful daughter. Regretably, I never met Pie. I hope the day arrives soon when some of the pain you now feel will be replaced with happy memories of Pie's life. I am so sorry for your loss.

Dear Nancy - I was saddened to hear of the loss of your beloved Pie. I have very fond memories of her from my two vacations in Cancun with you both. She was a lovely, fun-loving young woman, and I am sorry for your loss.

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
If you ever saw an odd couple I guess a 6’6” gangly pale Irish guy and Teresa was a petite tan beautiful Chinese girl. We never were very good with expressing ourselves. We had our own language which was mostly laughter we laughed a lot.
Teresa was brave and strong but she also felt things deeply although she did not always show it. Still waters run deep.
Teresa loved to travel and she did a lot. I’m glad she did.

We have been neighbors for over 30 years. We are both so sorry for your loss of Pie. My husband misses John. Now to lose your precious sister and daughter is just unthinkable.
