Tlane, my college nickname for him , was a team mate, house mate, and friend at Western. TLane could punt the football 60+ yards and it seems I was always on his squad for the punt return drill. Thanks for the extra 30 yds Tlane it payed off in the games. My earliest memory of Mr. Lane was watching the muppet show with him before my piano lessons. Later he was my science teacher in high school. You will be missed. My sympathy to Marilyn and the family

My junior year physics class may have been my favorite class in high school. And I think the 20 of us that took the class together would probably agree. The tone of the class was lighthearted, humorous, fun, and never very serious. Terry would laugh (occasionally) with us, we would make fun of him, and he would give it right back, or just ignore us. I graduated in 2007, and my class had the pleasure of having Mr. Lane (or Terbear as we affectionately called him) as not only our teacher, but as our class advisor through our 4 years of high school. He was an awesome person, with the most interesting sense of humor, thanks to his joke book! He had the biggest heart, and he genuinely cared for his students. I have never found a teacher that could put up with a class as rough as mine... we give you alot of props for that... you touched alot of hearts and made alot of us smarter... you will be in our hearts forever and u will be greatly missed... may my prayers be with your family at this time...
