Was rewatching the documentary on the Cane River Creoles and searched Mr. Delphins name, and found his obituary, sadly! He seemed to be a really nice gentleman and was hoping we could have met as my wife and I attended mass at the church portrayed in the documentary. Alas, we did not! So sorry to hear of his passing. We may yet meet on a distant shore someday!

May I extend my deepest condolences for your loss. I will remember him as a caring and loving cousin. I will never forget my impression that during my visit in Natchitoches, when he was driving by, he stopped to ask if I was Donald. I could sense that he gave me a heartful welcome.
