Terrell W. Pickett, Sr., 72, of the Baptist faith, passed away on July
11, 2013, at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer. Services will be
Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 10 a.m.,at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis, followed
by a graveside service, with Masonic Rites, at Bay Creek Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Quitman Terrell Pickett and his
mother, Earlene Logan Pickett of Hattiesburg; his brother, James Thomas (Tommy)
Pickett of Oloh; and his granddaughter, Cetta Cron Pickett of Union, MS.
Mr. Pickett is survived by his wife, Nancy Roseberry Pickett of Purvis;
his son, Terrell Pickett, Jr. and his wife Christy of Union, MS; his daughters,
B.J. Childress of Decatur, MS, Donna Butler and her husband Darren of Moselle
and Cassandra Williamson and her husband Jay of Purvis; his sister, Amey King
and her husband Billy of Columbia and their children, Courtney and Landon of
Columbia and Jason Mixon of Petal; nine grandchildren, Whitney Lott, Kasey Childress,
Christopher Butler, Brandi Butler, Daine Butler, April Williamson, Jonathan
Williamson, David Rushing and Renea Rushing and three great-grandsons, Eyan,
Gage and Haden.
Mr. Pickett was a member of the Local Union 903 IBEW, a member of the
American Bladesmith Society, member of the Gulf Coast Custom Knife Makers,
member of the Masonic Scottish Rite and the son of a Confederate Veteran.
Pallbearers will be Byron Roseberry, Billy King, Burt Roseberry, Justin
Pickett, Christopher Butler, Whitney Lott and Jonathan Williamson. Honorary
Pallbearers will be Dr. Willis, Dr. Decoux, Dr. Gridry and Dr. Harless.
Visitation will be Friday, July
12, 2013, from 6-9 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis.
