Terrence A. Baker (formely Wilkins) was born to Martella Wilkins on November 15, 1959 in Gary, IN. He entered the home and hearts of Andrew and Willa Mae Baker when he was just a few months old. Affectionately, known as "Terry" his personality made him a lovable child. The Baker household was a Christian home, so Terry and his siblings accepted Christ at an early age. He was baptized at St. Brendan's church where he also attended first and second grade. Terry was so smart that he skipped preschool and kindergarten. The Baker family moved to Markham, IL. and he attended St. Gerard Majella School. He continued his education at Marmion Military Academy and later received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrial Engineering with a minor in Drama from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Terrence, known by many as "Tab" was more than an electrical engineer. He was a professional actor, dancer and teacher. Tab served as a faculty member with both Act One Studio's and Colombia College in Chicago. He starred in several featured films for Columbia Pictures, United Artists, Paramount Pictures and Artisan Entertainment. He also made several television appearences on CBS, NBC, FOX, & PBS. He recorded voiceovers in National Radio and TV commercials. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his very special Godmother, Doris Banks, Brothers and Sisters, Michael Wilkins, Warren Weber(Dee), Shawnelle Hopkins, Arneatia Townsend, York Parm, Nicole Wilkins(Hildary), Alexis Baker, Sr., Jacinta Latimore Tracy Baker; nieces and nephews; LeAndrea Walker, Timothy Townsend, William Townsend, Germaine Townsend, Cianna Townsend, Umeika Benjamin, Latoya Wilkins, Warren Webber, II, Carl Hopkins, Hildary Taylor, II, Veronica Taylor, Abasi Kelley, Orlando Kelley, Sonjia Kelley, Alexis Baker, Jr., Armani Baker and a host of half sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews,cousins from Florida and loving friends and colleagues in the Arts and Theatre community.
