Not sure what to say?

Dawn,
I was shocked to hear of Terry's passing. I was in California and didn't find out until after his service. The two of you were such a blessing to all of us at Oakland Centre and I have thought of you so often since my retirement and have kept you in my prayers. You and your daughters will continue to be in my prayers as you go through this challenging time. May God's peace comfort you and may you feel His loving arms around you.

Over the past few days as I reflected on Terry's life and our relationship, I was reminded what an integral part he played in mine. Whether you called him husband, dad, son, brother, or friend, the recurring theme is always how kind, gentle, comforting, sincere, and fun Terry was. How fortunate that he met Dawn who also possesses those traits, and who would become such a pillar of strength in his life. Dawn, Lauren, and Megan thank you for your steadfast love and
care for my friend Terry....

"True friends are the ones who never leave your heart." And Terry will forever remain in mine. From the first, he welcomed me into the North Street house, where poker and Devo ruled the nights. We shared lazy South Haven beach days, laughing at the thought of our college life disappearing into reality. "Why be adult?", he asked. Then along came beautiful Dawn, a house, and two amazing daughters. A career. A life fulfilled. A life he proudly shared with us each summer on our Michigan...

It was a honor to get to know you and Terry through you. It was a privilege to guide you through this awful journey. You are the epitome of a devoted wife. He was blessed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Please be good to yourself. He would want you to be.

From the first, Terry welcomed me into the North Street house, shared lazy South Haven beach days , as together we laughed at the thought of college days disappearing into reality. "Why be adult?", he'd ask. Then along came beautiful Dawn, a house, and two amazing daughters. A career. A life fulfilled. One he invited us into every summer during our Michigan visits. I cherish the memories, the...

Dawn,
I'm so sad to hear about Terry. I know how much you loved him. Your two beautiful, kind and smart girls are a true testimony to the kind of man and father he was. I know how much you will miss him.

Dawn and girls, I am so sorry for your loss. Terry was way too young... I pray that you find comfort in the many happy memories you shared as a family. I will always remember Terry as having such a kind spirit, sweet disposition and quick wit. May you feel Terrys spirit today and always.
Hugs Anne

Dawn and family. Our sympathies and prayers go out to you as you deal with the loss of your husband and father. I didn't know Terry or you Dawn very long but so understand the difficulties and pain that go along with Terry's disease. May you find comfort and peace in your memories. Dawn, I also wanted to say thank you for alerting the people at New Friends about my dad (Don Konings) cough. Your alertness saved my dad's life. In Christian Love-Tim and Joyce Carpenter
