Graduate of Mendel Catholic H.S., member of 1957 City Championship Football Team, Villanova University in Pennsylvania. Visitation Tuesday, Jan. 29, 4 to 9 p.m. at Ryan Funeral Home, 18022 Dixie Hwy., Homewood. Funeral Mass Wednesday 11 a.m. at Tolentine Center, 20300 Governors Hwy., Olympia Fields. Mr. O'Brien will lie in state Wednesday 10 to 11 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Tolentine Center in Olympia Fields. 708-798-0331.

Though I am class of '63 VU, I didn't know Terry at that time. But several years ago, Tim Reger set up a Chicago Chapter golf outing, and Terry was kind enough to sponsor it at his Lincolnshire Country Club. It was a small group, but we had a great day. I especially enjoyed meeting Terry, and have fondly remembered that event ever since. I am very saddened to hear of his passing, and wish his family all God's special grace and solace in this difficult time.
