Dr. Yoder was my pediatrician for 8 years prior to his passing. Dr. Yoder had the unique ability to make his patients feel comfortable during arguably the most vulnerable time for a child, a trip to the doctor's office. Almost 11 years later, and I'm still hoping for a doctor that can fill his shoes. Thank you Dr. Yoder.

Dr. Yoder was my chief resident at Emory University School of Medicine and, having moved out of Atlanta I had no idea of his passing. I have a friend who is moving to Atlanta and I was actually looking him up so as to recommend him to her. He was an excellent clinician, as kind and caring as he was smart. He will be sorely missed, both personally and professionally. I realize that this is years after the fact, and for that I apologize but given this opportunity I just wanted to send my...

My name is Kate Crouch and I am the mother of TJ who is a severe asthmatic child. TJ is a special needs child as well and misses Dr Yoder. I will always be thankful for his calm, loving presence. Many a time I had been up all night treating TJ for asthma and drag myself into the office. I always felt that I could turn off a bit once he got involved. My family misses him very much. A terrible loss.

Dear Dr. Yoder's Family,
I just found out about Dr. Yoder's passing when I called the office to make an appointment for my daughter. Dr. Yoder saw my daughter as a patient whenever her primary physician, Dr. Hutson, was not available. I remember him as the "tall man with the big smile" and his music. In fact, I bought a few CDs based on his recommendations. He was always nice to us and made the visits very pleasant. Whenever Dr. Hutson gave me a hard time (in a good sense), I...

I just learned of Terry's passing in the Miamian as well. Terry and I were in Luxembourg together; he was such a loving, caring, and FUNNY guy--he was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Plus, he could do a mean impersonation of Spiderman--boy, did he make me laugh!! I spent several afternoons with him at Madame Mueller's house--Terry was a class act and, although I had lost touch with him, I am glad to see that he fulfilled his dream of becoming a doctor--he was an awesome human...

I just learned of Terry's passing in the Miamian. While it has been many, many years since we last spoke, I will never forget his friendship during our freshman year at Miami. Terry was a very important part of my life then and I am extremely saddened to learn of his death. My thoughts are with you.

We wish for you and your family many days of comfort and peace just as Dr. Yoder was able to create for our family. It was his smile, optimism and excellent service that made us proud to have him as our childrens' pediatrician. He was truly loved and will truly be missed. We express our sincerest condolences for your loss. May good bless you as much as Dr. Yoder has blessed us.

I have just learned of Terry's death. Thank you for putting it in AAP News, that is where I saw that he had died. I was a fellow in training with Terry at Emory in the 1990's in Peds ID. He was always so hardworking, friendly and bright. This is a real loss to everyone. Please know that I have your family in my heart & prayers.
