Terri Ann Payne, 56, departed this life on December 27, 2012, at Golden Living Center, in Merrillville, Indiana. Terri was born on April 27, 1956, in Gary, Indiana, to parents, Jim Sr. and Lula Payne, who both preceded her in death. Her brother, Armon Lee Van Diver also preceded her in death.
Terri accepted Christ at an early age, at New Macedonia Baptist Church in Gary. She attended Gary Roosevelt High School and was formerly employed at Arc Bridges.
Terri, who claimed herself as the "oldest" child, leaves behind, two brothers, Larry (Bertha) Payne Sr. and Jim Payne Jr.; three sisters, Julia Mullings, Loraine Pratchett and Valerie Shufford, all of Gary, Indiana. She also leaves to cherish her memory, sister-in-law, Cora Van Diver and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Terri's funeral will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at Smith, Bizzell and Warner Funeral Home, 4209 Grant Street, Gary, Indiana, Reverend Cecil Fuller, officiating. Visitation from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m.
Terri will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery. ~
To my beloved Auntie Terri, May you find rest and peace in the Master's arms. Your playfulness and humor will be remembered and greatly missed. Love, Margaret :'(
