Funeral service for Terry Lynn Barley, 55, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Bush officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Barley died Saturday, January 28, 2012, at his residence. He was born January 7, 1957, in Athens to Harold Rogers Barley and Jo Ann McMeans Barley.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Johnson; one son, James Russell Edge (Ashley) of Chattanooga, Tenn.; one daughter, Tara Barley of Washington, D.C.; two stepsons, Anthony Lewter (Brandy) and Shawn Lewter, both of Hartselle; his mother, Jo Ann Hogan of Decatur; brother, Hal Barley of Athens; sister, Cindy Smith (Gary) of Decatur; two stepsisters, Jeannie Austin of Falkville and Susie McMillan of Decatur; and five grandchildren, Logan Lewter, Landon Lewter, Brancen Lewter, Grayson Edge and Reese Edge.

Pallbearers are Shawn Lewter, Anthony Lewter, Phillip Kelso, Cris Smith, Brandon Smith and Kenneth Roden.
