Not sure what to say?

I knew Terry from Riverside Elementary, and cub scout meetings. I got to know him better in boy scouts, selling glazed donuts door to door on Saturday mornings, and going to scout camps. But it really all started at Terry’s house on 5th street – our hangout.

The first time I went to Terry’s, we walked from Camp Curtin JHS. We went past the front door, and along the side of the house. His mom, Jane, met us at the top of the steps at the kitchen door. I knew her first name because...

From: Bill & Jean Hunter:
Terry and I were seated together at a Hanna football game many years ago. It was then when he shared he was recently diagnosed with MS. He was calm about it and proceeded to tell me how slowly MS progressed. As I saw him over the years since, I noticed he never stopped being Terry and never stopped enjoying life. We are praying for you and your family.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

Comfort Planter

We group up hearing the name “Terry Heller” through many of my dad’s middle school and high school memories - lots of fun times and shenanigans! I also remember joining the Heller family at the North Pole when we were super little- maybe 5 years old? One of my favorite childhood memories. The times I met Terry, he always had a smile and engaged me in conversation! We loved him because our dad loved him! And our grandparents Veda and Wink loved him very much, too. We will miss you, Terry....

Our friendship was a short one and lasted while I worked at the Harry Arch Pharmacy, 3rd and Boas streets. I remember our discussions about Penn and Harris football. I graduated from John Harris 1962. May The God of creation bless The Heller Family in their time grief.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
