Oh such bad news. Terry brought me to Yale and we worked together for a decade on different ventures. He could laugh about any misfortune or goof and tell a funny story to make it all better. So many great fundraisers came out of his stable, and the world of higher education was enriched in countless ways by his wise training of a host of acolytes. The great university he deeply loved is much stronger today because of him. Marya, Eliza and I grieve with you.

Terry Holcombe was just a great human being, a gifted leader in the development community, an enormous asset to Yale University and generous to a fault to those less fortunate from all walks of life. He always left the people he knew and the organizations he led better off than when he found them. Heartfelt condolences to Marya and all Terry's family, Peter Buchanan

I feel numb with this news. I always felt Terry had a larger than life presence ; he cared genuinely for others and gave freely to those in need. He will be sorely missed.

Worked with Terry for many years. Knew marya and children. A wonderful caring family. Remember the days that their aierdale dog got away and we would have to go looking for him. Terry was the best boss that i ever had. Kind, compassionate and caring. His wife and children were the same I just can't believe this My love to the family.

My condolences to the Holcomb family. I have fond memories of Terry from my youth in Short Beach.

It was a pleasure to know Terry and serve with him at church. He just loved serving!. What an inspiration! He will be missed.

Terry was such a wonderful friend and supporter of Kurn Hattin Homes for Children. He always had the children's well-being uppermost in his efforts. He was a phenomenally good man and will be missed profoundly by us and all who knew him!

I was 2 years ahead of Terry at Yale, but our paths crossed on a number of occasions, and I found him to be invariably upbeat and positive. Even after all of these years of no contact I feel his loss.
