Not sure what to say?

Saddened to learn this news about Coach Mackey.........he was a inspiration to those he coached and taught. I still cherish the letter he wrote my parents, regarding my football abilities. His leadership and teaching's have been used by me throughout my adult life. Thank you, Coach.

I would like to add my condolences to Gay and the family on the loss of Terry. A very long time ago my late husband Brad worked with Gay and we all went on a great hiking trip in southern Colorado. It is one of my good memories.

Heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the family of Coach/Teacher Terry Mackey. I remember when Coach Mackey arrived at Harrison fall of 1962 and immediately turned the football program around going 5-3. The next year he had an even better team going 8-1-1 and losing only to eventual AA State Champion Cheyenne Mountain. Thank you for all the pleasant memories you created for what was then that country high school on the south side of town prior to departing for Air Academy HS and D20. Never...

I had the pleasure of having Mr Mackey as a history teacher at Harrison. Loved his passion. He also worked as the starter for our home track meets. Spent many of times chatting with him in the halls between classes and at meets.
Love and prayers to the family.

It was my good fortune to have taught with Terry at Harrison. He inspired me to be a better teacher and person. We were part of the winning trivia team that remained unbeaten over the years. I always enjoyed talking about fishing and hunting with Terry. He was always ready with great advice about teaching and coaching. David Barnett, retired Math Teacher.
