MACLIN, Terry Sanford, 65, passed away at his home in Richmond on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Houser Maclin. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Morgan Lee Maclin of Richmond; his father, Cecil L. Maclin of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; a sister, Sandra Thornton, also of Muscle Shoals; and three nieces, Cynthia Wood of Chattanooga, Tenn.; Robin Collins of Birmingham, Ala.; and Angela Crowe of West Orange, N.J. Terry was born in Sheffield, Ala., and graduated from The University of North Alabama and Loyola University in New Orleans. Before his retirement in 1995, he was a senior vice president at Crestar Bank. In addition to being a proud veteran of the United States Army, Terry enjoyed collecting art, taking walks in the Fan, playing Bridge, reading, dining in good restaurants, helping his friends with their houses and gardens and spending time with his daughter. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date with interment in the spring in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Va.
