Broomhead Funeral Home - Riverton Obituary

TERRY LYNN SCROGGIN
Our dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend, Terry Lynn Scroggin was reunited on June 14th, 2013 with the love of his life LuAnn Ohmie Scroggin. He was born June 15th, 1949 to Max and Rosa Scroggin in Murray, Utah. Terry grew up in Copperton, Utah and graduated from Bingham High School.
He married Betty Edmunds and later divorced. He married LuAnn Ohmie and soon moved to Portland Oregon where they owned and operated Terry's Diesel Repair. They had a successful career and later sold the business to shop foreman and long time family friend Benny Salinas.
Terry will be remembered for his love of the Oregon Coast and spending time with his family and friends riding ATV'S. He also loved spending his winters in Lake Havasu, Arizona riding his Harley with many life long friends he met down there. We would like to thank those friends for always looking out for him and creating so many memories with him.
A little over a year ago Terry moved back to Utah to make it his home. We would like to give a special thanks to all the doctors and nurses he came in contact with while he was here. Including South Mountain Dialysis, his Nurse Geri, Aid Kylie and South Town Ranches where he lived. His sister Maxine, for always checking on him, getting him to appointments when needed and taking care of him in Oregon. His brother Dennis, for Sunday breakfasts and visits with mom that he enjoyed so much. His brother Brent (Linda), for taking such good care of him after his stroke. And to his brother-in-law Val Herbert for managing his finances, getting his house and motor home sold, running him to appointments and just being the person he could call and rely on. Arthur and Valene, thank you and your family for all the good times and cherished memories my dad had with you.
Terry is survived by children, Tawnya (David) Frasier, Brian (Cherie) Masarone, Paul (Mandy) Scroggin, Cindy (Phat) Voong, 11 grandchildren, brothers Brent and Dennis (Michael) Scroggin. Sisters, Maxine (Earl) Holt, Diana (Val) Herbert, Cheryl Ann and Kori, mother Rosa Hofmann Resch as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, by wife LuAnn and father Max.
Celebration in memory of Terry will be held Wednesday June 19th, 2013 from 6-8pm at Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West.

Not sure what to say?

Terry, the dad I wish could have enjoyed life with his children, grandchildren, friends etc. a lot longer. I see the emptiness in brian every day and the things he wished he could have done with you after you made Utah your home. I know one day you will be reunited and those things will get accomplished. Always know Terry you were loved by so many and will always be missed in our every day life. I love you.

Dad, I still can't believe your gone. I wish I could have done more for you and got you out on your RZR one lst time.I will miss having a beer with you on my patio(even though you didnt finish yours).I will see you on the mountain. Love you.

Uncle Terry, I am going to miss you more than you will ever know, we love and miss you so much but we know you are so happy now that you are with LuAnn and Gmpa Max.

Terry was a true friend willing to help anyone in need. He lived life to the fullest. He loved Lake Havasu and his Harley. I'm proud to call Terry my friend. I Love him and I will miss him dearly.

Brian,Cherie and family, We are sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Terry was a part of my childhood that I will always look back on with fondness. It was too soon for him to go but I am sure he was ready and can now rest. Afton Bray-Babecki
