Read MoreI think that Terry was a preschool teacher of mine at Cresent Ave. United Methodist. I don't recall much from that time, but do remember Mrs. Witchey. People like her are so incredibly valuable to society. Proof of that is that I can still remember someone like this 55 years later.

I didn't know Terry but stories of her compassion in working with AIDS patients in the early days of the crisis have left a legacy of her work in Fort Wayne. This has created a ripple effect of impact, and the community is grateful.

Condolences to Terri's family. I met Terri at Crescent Avenue Methodist Church's nursery school. What a delightful person to have as a friend. Occasionally I would drop my boys at Terri's house. They tell me of wading in the creek near their house. Terri had a loving approach to parenthood, giving a lot more freedom than I probably did. Warm regards to her children. Kathy Martz Lemmon
