I am privileged to have called this great man my grandfather. When I was a kid I remember being scared of him. After all, he was quite the tough guy: big, strong, tattooed, Italian, the beer, the smokes. It was a lot to be scared of for a little kid. One summer, when I was staying with him and my grandmother, he brought this little toy car into the room and we starting playing with it. We had a really great time and it was such a simple, fun activity. After that, I was never afraid of him...
