Not sure what to say?

My momma OH, how I love you girl. I hope we're making you proud. Thank you for your sacrifices made to raise us mostly on your own. I can only imagine the shenanigans going on with you, Cindy and Gwin. Heavens to Besty, Yall save a seat for me and we'll reunite on yonder's side. Forever and always, your baby girl, Vivian Elaine

Oh my mama! Loving You Always. Miss you. You struggle no more. Quite a force to be reckoned with. What you instilled in your girls is strength, integrity, love of family and most of all the love of Christ? I shall always be grateful and thankful to God for the blessings and respect the trials and tribulations, I've overcome. This year I face that heart valve deformity being repaired that you nurtured me through during my birth and younger life. My hope is to be in the heavenly...

Well, Mom, it's finally over. No more suffering, no more "iron lung" machine. You can rest now and be happy with your brothers and sisters, especially Aunt Chris, Aunt Jewell and Uncle Sam. Give Uncle Sam, Uncle Willie, Aunt Chris and Aunt Jewell big xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox's for me. Love ya, Jo Baby

I became aquianted with Sister Lydia through the Meals on Wheels Program at Dallas West Church of Christ. The few minutes that I shared with her during those visits always cheered my day. It was truly my pleasure to serve her in this small way.

I was so elated that I had the opportunity to know such a wonderful lady. You could see Jesus in her. I enjoyed going to her house on Sundays and singing to her when we would take her the communion. I then moved to Corsicana, and had the opportunity to go and sing an fellowship with her in an one on one status. I will miss you Sis. Lydia, and you will never be forgotten. My prayers are with you Sis. Thomas, Sis. Jackson, and Sis. Singletary. May God Bless Your Family during this time...

Often in life we never know where a journey will take us. A year ago I started a journey dear to my heart, the research of my family tree.

This journey took me to wonderous places and I met wonderful people. One of those lovely persons was Gwinda Anthony.

We formed a bond you wouldn't imagine possible, over the Internet. We became fast friends and through our ancestors guidance and the grace of God I was able to provide Gwinda with a second photo of her Father, Otis...

Even though I did not know Ms. Lydia in person. I still felt as If we had met by just the kind words her daughter Ms. Degrate spoke of her at work. To have such a kind loving daughter speaks a lot of Ms. Lydia. I will keep you in my prayers
