Ms. Lee Ann Sims of 114 Pecan Circle, Plains, Georgia, died Friday, October 17, 2025, at her residence.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 3:30 PM in the sanctuary of the St. John AME Church in Plains, Georgia.  The burial will follow at the Poplar Springs Cemetery in Preston, Georgia.
Lee Ann Sims, born on June 10, 1967, was a cherished member of the Plains community. As the daughter of George Sims, Sr. and Addie Mae Sims, she was deeply rooted in her family's legacy and the community she loved. Lee Ann was a member of the St. John AME Church, where she remained a member until her passing. She was known for her kindness and dedication.  
Lee Ann Sims passed away on October 17, 2025, leaving   behind a legacy of love and compassion.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Addie Mae Sims; her brothers:  George Sims, Jr. and Christopher Sims; her grandparents: Willie Brown. Rosa Brown, Sam Sims, Sr., and Minnie Lee Sims.
Memories are left to her loving children:  Michael Sims and  Jamyhia Sims both of Plains, Georgia; her beloved father,  George Sims, Sr. of Plains, Georgia; her loving sisters: Diane (Thomas) Ross and Patricia (Raymond) Tookes of Americus, Georgia, and Miriam Lasiter of Atlanta, Georgia; her brother: Kelvin Sims of Plains, Georgia; her sister-in-law Angela Sims of Americus Georgia, her aunts: Gussie Dice of Americus, Georgia and Annie Ross of Plains, Georgia; her cousins: Annie Ruth Mathis and James Mathis of Americus, Georgia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many sorrowing friends, to include: Mollie Murphy,  Flora Murphy, and Larry Streeter of Plains, Georgia.
