Not sure what to say?

Thada was the person who took me under her wing when I was hired for my first job in international health. We hit it off and when we were both home from our travels, we enjoyed local fairs, Thai restaurants, home and garden tours. One time, Thada called me because she was feeling sad and said she wished I could give her a hug, but we were both leaving for our next assignment. She wrote what happened next on Facebook: "One of my favorite coincidences: I was in route to Asia for work and when...

I knew Thada for about 20 years through our community garden Club, the Takoma Horticultural Club. Thada was always a lovely, kind person who generously shared her international travel stories, garden knowledge and plants. I especially loved the toad lilies she shared from her garden at plant swaps. Rest in peace, Thada... We'll miss you!

Thada and I dated all through college. We joined a wonderful circle of friends that has stayed in touch through the years. The Bornstein family inspired my appreciation for the strength and quality of family bonds. They welcomed me with their hearts when I converted to Judaism. It was a joy and honor to have had her in my life.

Theda was such a wonderful, vibrant, articulate and funny person. She will be missed by all. My deepest condolences.

One of the funniest people and quickest wits I have ever known. Can anyone post the great photo of Thada on horse in a long feathered war bonnet jumping a hurdle in the circus? Fabulous! She modeled her graceful hands for a painter who inserted them in portraits of ladies less favored.

One of the sweetest hearts to grace this earth! Will miss her forever and a day.

We met Thada through her dear sister Barbara ~ and Thada became a dear friend to us. Whenever Thada visited Barbara we would enjoy outings together. When my son was in Japan, Thada made plans to meet him when on her Asian assignments. Amazingly kind and dear. With our dear Barbara, we celebrate Thada always. xoxo
