For a couple years Thad was my workout buddy at the Rocky River Rec Center. Lovely lovely man. Much missed.

I worked with Thad at St Joseph HS in Cleveland for several years in the late 70's. Thad only knew direct answers, direct questions, a pride in being Irish, and a perso-well-met approach to life! I met Thad many years ago when I attended nursing school with is then wife, Jane. We became fast friends and he was very supportive and kind to me. The three of us shared many meals and laughs. I knew Julie and Colleen as babies. He loved his children very much. I was very saddened by their divorce and we drifted apart as life went on. Sheila and I are deeply saddened to hear of Thad's passing. I have known him since 1958, when he and my brother Dennis were freshmen at St. Ed's. They remained fast friends for more than 6 decades - many motorcycle excursions and othet adventures. Sheila and I shared in many good times. We knew Thad as unfailingly interesting, a notable historian, teacher and coach, a devout Catholic, with a great Irish wit. Seems like only yesterday that we met for some estate planning, so his death came...
