Thaddeus P. “Ted” Zimny, D.M.D., age 90, of Woodland Road in Alton, NH, died July 16, 2007 at Lakes Regional General Hospital in Laconia, NH.

Born January 18, 1916 in Lawrence, MA, son of the late Paul and Mary H. (Zimba) Zimny, he resided there for many years and resided in Alton, NH since 1999, having come from Newport, NH.

A Veteran of World War II, he served with the United States Navy as a dentist and medic on Saipan.

Prior to retirement, he was self employed as an Endodontist for many years in Lawrence, MA and from 1982-1992 in Newport, NH.

Ted was a Pilot, having owned and operated 3 airplanes and was a member of the A.P.A.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Carol Flis of Stratham, NH & granddaughter: Erica Deitchman of San Francisco, CA, Susan Zimny & grandson: Nicholas Zimny-Shea of Indiana, PA, & Nancy Zimny of Richmond, VT, a sister: Eleanor H. Johnson of Ellicott City, MD, a nephew: Glen E. Johnson, M.D. of Ellicott City, MD, a niece: Beverly Ann Johnson of Sykesville, MD & a nephew: Kenneth Johnson of Wesley Chapel, FL, also a great niece: Kristi Johnson & great nephew: Bradley Harps Johnson.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5-7 pm at Peaslee Alton Funeral Home, 12 School Street, Alton, NH 03809. A Funeral will be held on Friday, July 20, 2007 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A Graveside committal will be Friday at 1:00 pm at Polish National Catholic Cemetery in Methuen, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to: The Michael J.
