I visited with the Thoringtons on the first Sunday of every month to bring them communion from First United Methodist Church in Birmingham where Fletcher had served for many years. Every time I went, they were a blessing for me! ❤

I remember that precious smiling face when I was a little girl of 5 down at 1st Methodist. We were "The Douglases" sitting down on the side of the pulpit with my grandparents. BUT.. then my Papa left and Fletcher kept smiling at this little girl and being kind to our family but we had to leave.
