Thelma was born on November 7, 1929 and passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018. Thelma was a resident of Rhodelia, Kentucky at the time of passing. She is survived by her husband, Bernard "Sonny" Dodson of Rhodelia, daughter, Denise (Sherman) Richards of Louisville, sons, Bruce (Judy) Dodson of Brandenburg and Neal (Melody) Dodson of Webster; sisters, Doris Farrow, Ann Cox and Verna Lerma; brothers, Howard Bruner, Jimmy Bruner, Leonard Bruner, Dalton Bruner, Wayne Bruner, Vernon Bruner and Larry Bruner; grandchildren, Jason Richards, Neisha Nevitt, Shayna Richards, Tia Whelan, Brandon Dodson, Quentin Dodson and Chad Dodson and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11 A.M. EST from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 7 from 2-8 P.M. EST and Wednesday after 9 A.M. EST at the funeral home.

Aunt Thelma was a wonderful woman. She was always so sweet and spoke everytime I saw her and Uncle Sonny. My mom, Verna, was her baby sister. Thelma will be missed by many people. As she was one of 14 kids. Thoughts and prayers to Uncle Sonny, Denise, Bruce and Neal and all of their families. Love you all and sorry for the loss of your mother.
