Hays, Thelma Nadene (Simpson), 90, passed away Friday morning, Jan 24, 2014 at her daughter's home in Wichita. She was a native of Highland and Cherryhill, Arkansas, but had been a resident of Wichita since 1943. She was married to Walter Vern "Gabby" Hays, who proceeded her in death by 10 years....

I haven't seen her for about 5 yrs.now. We should have tried to find out about her and gone and seen her. Ron hadn't seen her forever he couldn't remember the last time. My mother and I so meant to get over to see Thelma in just a few days. We are so sorry that we did not get a chance to talk with her before her passing. I remember Thelma since we lived in the same neighborhood. Going to school at Classen with her children. She was a very dear friend of my mothers, Lorene Gifford. Our prayers are with you as you deal with the loss of your mother and grandmother.
