Thelma Stroud Hewitt

Mrs. Thelma Stroud Hewitt, 92, resident of Santee, South Carolina, widow of William J. Hewitt, Sr., passed away peacefully at home on March 11, 2020.
Born July 5, 1927 in Tabor City, NC, she was the daughter of the late Walter Enoch Stroud and Ora Cox Stroud. Thelma spent her life loving and caring for all of the members of her family.
Mrs. Hewitt is survived by her Children, her Daughter, Carolyn H. Marshall husband Sherwood, her Son, William Julius (Billy) Hewitt Jr. wife Paula of Summerville, Son Phillip Marvin Hewitt of Aiken, SC; Eight grandchildren, Jenika M. Sears, husband John, John S. Marshall, wife Jordan, Matthew P. Hewitt, wife Katherine, Clifford J. (CJ) Hewitt, wife Ali, Holly H. Robertson, husband Mike, Ashley H. Ewers, husband Tom, Tiffany W. Butler, husband Chris, Brian P. Walsh, wife Tiffany; and seventeen Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Hewitt was preceded in death by a daughter, Melodie H. Walsh, and her siblings, Floyd Stroud, Bruce Stroud, Tommy Stroud, Ruth Stroud, and Ruby Stroud.
Mrs. Hewitt children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss her dearly. They all loved their mother, momma, meme, ganny and granny. She had a lot of different names, but they were all names of love from her family.
A graveside service for Mrs. Hewitt will be held Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 A.M. at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols, SC. Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins is assisting the family.
