Mrs Johnson was full of life. A real spitfire. She could keep up with us girls and usually pass me. Thelma used to go on jaunts with Annette, Patty, Reta and I. We went to Kentucky Horse Park to see the Christmas lights, concerts, Ohio State fair, Friendly's, Frischs' and Brian Brenner and VanDells shows at La Comedia. She was the chaperone. When we would get rowdy she would sternly say, "Now girls", then laugh. When we were all together I would call her Mom. She just laughed and joined in...
