It was with great sadness that I learned about Thelma's recent passing. Thelma was a good friend to me when I lived in Cleveland and she introduced me to the College Club, which gave me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful ladies, including Thelma herself. From 1992 to 2002 Thelma was my volunteer in the African American Archives at the Western Reserve Historical Society. She was an invaluable manuscript processor helping to process and catalog numerous African American history collections making them accessible to the public. I am so sorry to learn of Thelma's passing. She was such a dedicated educator and activist and very loving to her family and friends. Please accept my deepest condolences.
