I had the honor of working with Thelma for many years. She was the light and Center of Social life. It was always a pleasure to arrive at work and be greeted with Thelma’s warm smile. I particularly remember Thelma for her love of dancing, and wilingness to liven any gathering. I feel very blessed to have known her.

I worked with Thelma at the Census Bureau. She was so kind and encouraging when I started working there. She shared a lot of her life with me, the good and the bad, and I always admired her strength. My heart is swollen with grief and sadness upon hearing of your passing.
