I grew up right down the road from this legendary woman. I have many memories of her from when I was growing up. I am sorry that I didn't know all the wonderful things she did for the county I grew up in until I was an adult. I do now understand why my parents called her the Queen of New Kent though. There will never be another Thelma Wilson! It is hard to be sad about such a deserving person going to be with God. RIP Thelma Rose Crump Wilson.

She married my husband and me almost exactly just 4 years ago and opened up her home for us, not once but twice.
