Not sure what to say?

I recently drove by a home in Portland that reminded me of my time with Ted as an employee at Argo Architect. I worked for Ted part time and then eventually full-time helping out around the office, learning to draft, going on-site visits, running errands around town in my red Volkswagen Bug, and thoroughly enjoyed my experience in the nearly six years I worked at Argo Architect. Ted was an amazing mentor and a significant part of my young adult life. I am tremendously thankful for his...

I was so very sorry to hear this. I first met and worked with Ted back in the late '80s while I was a young and green designer working at Charbonneau. Over the years we had the opportunity to work together on several projects. Ted was always happy to answer my numerous questions or provide a resource when needed. I consider Ted a friend and mentor. He loved his family and always had a smile on his face. In recent years, I enjoyed our time together over coffee or lunch, catching up on family,...

My sincere (and belated) sympathies Barb and family. Ted was such a dear man. He was the first architect I met in Oregon back when you lived just off Terwilliger. He travelled with me to a number of places during the Hillsdale Sash and Door days. He did such an amazing job designing our home that I still would change nothing. He also was most generous with his time and expertise. I will miss him.

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

Very sorry to hear about Ted. I had the distinct privilege to build the home he designed for my clients at Chapman Point in Cannon Beach. A truly amazing masterpiece. Ted was so talented and always smiling and positive.

Very sorry to learn of Ted's passing. As a home builder, (Pacific Homes) I worked with Ted for several years, and served with him on the Murrayhill ACC. He designed many of the homes we built including our own. He made a huge contribution to the housing industry and was a real professional and a good friend. I was fortunate to have known such a fine person. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Ted was amazing.! He and Ralph designed our first house in 1974. He was a great person to work with designing a home. I have many memories of working with Ted in the design of the house. Patt Gentemann

We are so sorry to hear of Ted´s passing. We had a lot of fun designing our house at Hartung Farms in 1985. It is our 2nd favorite house. Five years later my parents built a new home and Ted was their architect. In 2008 Kristi and I moved into my parents home and still live there today.......it is our favorite home!!! Thank you Ted for your architectural genius and the memories we have in the homes you designed. May your memory be eternal Chris and Kristi Maletis

We just moved from our farm and home that Ted designed for us and Allan built in '96-'97. It was the most amazing place to live and work. Being what I call "spatially challenged", I have told the story many times of how Ted made a "post it note" section of our house to show me how the changes we talked about would actually look when completed. He made it really "pop", I could tell how the space would feel to be living in it. He was an amazing gifted man who we were grateful to have met...
