Not sure what to say?

I was deeply saddened to learn of Ted's passing. I knew Ted as a primary pathologist at the VA Medical Center in Ann Arbor where I worked as Chief, Medical Media Service, and had regular contact with Ted. Reflecting back on the times I spent with Ted, I don't believe that the English language contains the superlatives necessary to describe Ted. The best word I have is friend. My life and the world benefited from his presence. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dear Peggy, Lynn, Sandra and family, We are saddened to hear of Ted's passing and remember him with so much appreciation for all he did for so many. It's hard to count all the ways Ted worked to make the world a better place. He left a good legacy and will be missed. To us, he was a great man. We are praying for comforting and peace for those who will miss him the most.

I met Ted approximately 20 years ago. It was a political issue that brought us together, and I credit Ted for helping me get involved in local politics and trying to make a difference. We did not agree on everything politically, but we were still friends and could discuss issues openly. Ted also encouraged my wife and I both to stay involved politically, which we will continue to do, in many ways because of his encouragement. We´ve seen Ted and Peggy ballroom dance, and it was...

I have always admired Ted´s passion for life. Ted always made me want to be a better person. I can offer no higher praise.

So sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

Lynn, So sorry to hear about your dad. He was a wonderful man. I didn't know about all of his accomplishments. He lived a very full life. Sending prayers to you and your family.

Ted was a great friend of my father, with whom he shared a passion for politics, and causes of justice and equity. As a child, I spent many hours waiting in a car when LeRoy stopped by to talk to Ted, Al Wheeler, or Jean King for "just a minute." My contribution to Democratic politics. Ted was a great friend of my family, which had need of a gentle and steady confidant, as we coped with the challenges of a sister with polio. It helped of course that he was an MD. I like to think that Ted was...

James and Sandy, I am touched to read about so much your dear father accomplished, and the causes he worked for. I wish I could have met him. He was not only learned but insightful, and wise. I am sure he will be missed, and remembered by many whom he taught and inspired, and whom he loved and cared for in his lifetime. My thoughts are with you.
