In his retirement, Dr. Galkowski helped me survive my dreadful high school chemistry class. He helped to get me thinking about college, and to get me to strive for academic achievement at a time where that was far from a priority for me. I will miss his kindness and his sense of humor. St. Francis Xavier won't be the same without him around.

I remember him from where I use to work at Bass River Healthcare. He was very memorable and I enjoyed his conversations when he came in with Jeanette. We truly live on in the memories of others. My condolences.

As a chemistry graduate of the PC Class of 1959, I had the pleasure of being introduced to college chemistry by Dr. Galkowski. He was a marvelous instructor. In my subsequent research career, I always enjoyed my meetings with him as a highly professional and very interested colleague.
