Theodore J. Kaczmarek "Ted"

KACZMAREK, THEODORE J. "TED" - Of Burton, age 101, died February 15, 2023.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 South Dayton Street, Davison, Father Dieudonne Ntakarutimana officiating.

Burial in Flint Memorial Park with a military graveside service under the auspices of Chevrolet VFW Post #822 Honor Guard.

Visitation 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.

Theodore will be at the church from 12 p.m. Monday until the time of the Mass.

Theodore was born in Flint, Michigan on December 25, 1921, the son of the late Michael and Josephine (Kotfis) Kaczmarek.

On July 16, 1949 he married Edna Heidenberger and she preceded him in death on January 2, 1987.

Ted served in the U.S. Air Force as a crew chief during World War II.

He was employed by General Motors, AC Spark Plug Division as a Tool & Die Maker, retiring in October, 1974.

Ted was an outdoors man and enjoyed hunting and fishing; he was also a talented carpenter. He loved to travel and played the drums in the Polish Band.

Surviving are many nieces, nephews, Noma Jean Pomaville, Scott Rust, Steven and Shawn Rust; Joyce (John) Kemnitz, Peter Kaczmarczyk, Gary Miller, Diane McLogan, Sue Young, Barbara Greene, Patricia Wilson and Larry Heidenberger; friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Peter Kaczmarczyk, Helen Morton, Rose Mary Miller, Agnes Skarbek and Clara Hannula.
