Not sure what to say?

Seeing this 8 years later. Sorry we lost touch and to hear Ted passed. Obviously he was well loved with a great family. We served in the army in Fulda Germany. He was in the V Corp chorus and I was in a tank company. Off duty we played in a rock cover band Tokyo Rose, playing gigs on & off post and we got orders to play at the 14th German/American Volksfest in Berlin, for 3 weeks! Great guy, talented musician, many good times. My condolences to the Kiefer family and friends.

I was Ted´s neighbor, and babysitter to his daughters when they were young. Even though I was only 13 years old I remember how tender and nurturing he was with them. I am 48 years old and I still remember him sitting 3 yr old Ellie, on the kitchen table because she was crying but he didn´t know why, and it just crushed him. He was so loving. So devoted. He was a very kind hearted man. Who loved his family very very much. Rest In Peace Sir. My heart is broken for your girls

Ted you will be missed so much.. I well never forget getting to see you 3 yrs ago when your band played at my dads 80th surprise birthday at VFW. He loved your music as did I. You were a dear friend while we were in highschool n have fond memories of our time with our friends at your house and the time we sat and listened to the draft n you were #2. So off to germany you went Thank you for serving. . I cant believe your gone. Rip old friend until we meet again.

I remember Ted and his siblings best as darling little kids on Garden Drive. He started out with that beautiful smile. He helped take care of his brothers and sisters. I was one of the neighborhood babysitters.
Always a joy. He will be missed!

Our sincere condolences to the Kiefer family. Ted was a great man and as we only had the chance to work with him for a short while, his smile was always very welcoming.

Ted was more than a friend to me, he was my brother from another mother.Football, wrestling,A&W rootbeer floats at Kemps after sports, just some of our regular good times! He came from a great family whom I am sure will miss him more than I.It was my pleasure to have lunch with him a couple of years ago when I was in Belvidere to take our Mom off of life support. It was great to see him full of spirit and THAT is how I'll always remember him. Godspeed my friend,I expect to see you soon.

Our sincere sympathy for your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ted...

Just sayin' "Hi" was always an easy start to a friendly conversation, anytime. BHS, Dodge Lanes, maybe havin' a beer on Buchanan, you made a lasting impression as a really likable and easy going guy. Unforgettable. That's what's in my heart as I write this.
