Not sure what to say?

I worked with Ted at Bailey Mine where we become great friends. I lived in Ohio and wanted to move closer to work. One day at work, I told Ted that I would be meeting my wife near the interstate in West Alexander, and we would be looking at houses that day. Ted beat me to the interstate and was talking to my wife when I arrived. When we were leaving, Ted pointed to his license plate and told her that she now had a friend in Pennsylvania. What a great first friend she had in her new state....

Mathis Family Teddy will be missed.we owned Bellotti's Store beside his parents.I would see Ted at Shop @ Save he always had a hello @ a smile......my sympathy to all....

When I first started in the coal mine there was a big, jolly, and friendly man that I came to know as, "Straight Ahead Ted". He was the first African-American foreman for Consolidation Coal Company and became my section foreman back in the 70's. I was very rough around the edges back then and even when I had problems, he volunteered to take me to work. I am grateful to have met him. May you Rest With God, Theodore Mathias, Sr.
