Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home Obituary

Theodore Charles May, best known as Ted or Teddy, died suddenly on April 10, 2022, in Odessa, Texas.

Born in Santa Rosa, California, his family moved to New Jersey when Ted was six years old. He graduated from Jackson High School in 2013 and went on to serve his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged in 2018. Ted resided in Texas and married Shantal Estefania Damian where he welcomed her children with open arms. An instant father figure, he enjoyed the quality time they all spent together. As a family, they attended Iglesias del Dios Vivo (Church of the Living God) where they were active in services and events. He worked for Cascade Progress Controls as a lineman since leaving the Army. Teddy, as he is known by his family, will always be remembered for bringing laughter to their lives and remaining close at heart no matter how far apart they lived. You could often find Ted helping those less fortunate than himself and he had a soft heart for animals of all kinds.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert S. May II, his grandfather’s Robert S. May I, and Gus Venis, and Uncle Phillip G. Venis.

Surviving are his beloved wife Estefania May, his devoted mother Pamela May-Protocollo and husband Anthony, his loving brother Bob May and fiancé Carolyn, his cherished step-children Andrea, Amjuly, and Farath, his dear aunts Penny Vogt and Sharon Venis, his cousins Eric and wife Kristy, Phillip, Monica and husband Lonnie, and Rick, his maternal grandmother Ouida Venis, and paternal grandmother Mary (MJ) Williams and husband Charles, as well as his extended family and friends.
