THEODORE L. MORGAN

I remember studying under Ted Morgan and being frightened of his intensity, then the hammer dropped during a Critique, he gave me a lot of confidence in what I was trying to do and my relationship with this gifted educator grew from there on. He left an imprint on me and many others I know, he will be missed dearly.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Ted took me under his wing as a student and introduced me to precision, craftsmanship, and finely executed techniques. He taught me to respect the integrity of the printmaking process. He took the time to show me pieces he had archived at Alfred and demonstrated several processes outside of "class time". He helped me recognize my own potential, allowed me to confide in him when troubled and shared his experiences when he thought they might be helpful to me. I am really sad to hear of his...

I'll always remember him as talented painter and a gentle soul with a wit that inspired a band named after him. Rest In Peace.
